For financial and accounting professionals
Ziptr demonstrated the company's secure communication solution. It frees businesses, professionals and individuals from expensive shipping fees, email security risks and confusing portals by combining secure messaging and effortless bank-level encryption in one solution.
Whether direct to clients or for internal use, Ziptr safeguards conversations and files from falling into any unintended hands. For financial and accounting firms who are trusted with the most sensitive client data, Ziptr allows users to connect with anyone they choose, protected by automated backup, synchronization and unparalleled 256-bit AES encryption.
Ziptr offers central administration and management, while easing the compliance burden with built-in HIPAA & data privacy protection.
Ziptr user Peter Witts, principal at Witts, CPA PC in Dracut, MA, sees the advantages of Ziptr stating: "Having a single solution to safely communicate with clients and store sensitive information is incredibly valuable; even more so with Massachusetts' Privacy Laws."
Our comments :
Based in Burlington, MA, Ziptr was founded in 2010 and got two rounds of
financial funding, $1.5 million in 2010 in seed funding from friends
and family, co-founder, president and CEO Firdaus Bhathena, and then
$6.8 million in 2011 led by Fairhaven Capital Partners.
Bhathena is software specialist who founded WebLine Communications
bought by Cisco for $325 million in November 1999. He also was at the
origin of Relicore sold to Symantec in 2006.
Ziptr's CTO Jeff Anuszczyk and VP engineering Chris Boran worked with Bhathena at Relicore.
The start-up replaces multiple passwords and accounts customers need to
access financial documents from places like banks with a single secure
digital repository and secure messaging service.
