SanDisk SAS SSDs Into Stratus ftScalable G2 Array

The SanDisk Corp.'s Lightning Enterprise SAS SSDs are now offered in Stratus Technologies Bermuda Ltd's ftScalable G2 Storage, a fault-tolerant array manufactured for Stratus by Dot Hill Systems Corp.

The Stratus array connects to the fault-tolerant ftServer system line, providing customers with uptime assurance for servers and storage.

Lightning SSDs are equipped with reliability and endurance features, as well as performance, that complement Stratus's requirements for uptime assurance solutions. Customers select Stratus' resilient software and hardware products, with proactive remote monitoring and management technology, to protect mission-critical applications, such as payments processing and other high-volume transaction workloads, healthcare systems, emergency dispatch, virtualization and cloud computing, for example.

The ftScalable G2 storage array is suited as an SSD platform. High-speed 8Gb FC or 10Gb iSCSI host connection and 6Gb SAS backend maximize the performance of the drives, while the patented DupliCache technology improves write performance.Availability enhancements, such as hot spares and redundant, hot-plug components, protect mission-critical data stored on the SanDisk drives, while support for both SSDs and HDDs allow the configuration to optimize performance based upon data usage patterns.
