Index Engines Supports HP Data Protector

For indexing, searching and extracting content
Clients can access data from backup tapes created with HP Data Protector without needing the original software that created the tapes. For clients with large volumes of legacy tapes created in this format, Index Engines' direct indexing technology makes access to the data both cost effective and automated.
Index Engines support for HP Data Protector enables to:
- Support eDiscovery and compliance requests for data.
- Defensibly remediate tapes, saving offsite storage costs, in order to reduce liability of the hidden content.
- Execute corporate policies on tape data and archive responsive data.
Using the search interface users can search and find relevant files, email them based on full text or metadata criteria, and extract them without using the original software that created the tape.
This process simplifies and streamlines access to legacy data and allows organizations to manage the content on tape more effectively.
